Where Faith and Social Work Meet
Erin Albin Hill is a licensed social worker in Texas with an MDiv and MSW from Baylor University and brings more than ten years of experience walking alongside faith communities at the intersection of faith and justice.
She specializes in building trauma‑sensitive congregations and is deeply committed to helping church leaders understand they can build congregations that are conducing to healing without requiring them to serve as mental health practitioners.
Erin’s work spans curriculum development, training facilitation, and consultation across the full landscape of congregational social work. She offers in‑person and virtual trainings on topics such as trauma sensitivity, spiritual trauma, collective trauma, inclusivity and belonging, boundaries in ministry, asset mapping, and church–community relationships.
Her background also includes direct work with survivors of domestic abuse and homeless or unaccompanied youth. Across every setting, Erin is known for equipping faith leaders with practical tools, grounded insight, and a compassionate approach that helps faith communities and organizations become places where people feel safe, supported, and celebrated.
